(Sunday) Cairo & Giza - Overnight Train to Luxor

 

Depart for a full day guided tour of Giza and Cairo. Here, see the world famous pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mycrenos and their 9uardian Sphinx; these are amongst the most impressive man-made spectacles in the world. Later, visit the Khan el Khalili bazaar. This is one of the most historic markets in the world, founded by the Emir Djaharks EI-Khalili in 1382. Lastly, visit the Egyptian Museum to learn about the 4000-year-old Egyptian civilisation, as well as the treasures of Tutankhamun. In the evening, take an overnight sleeper train to Luxor.

(Monday) Luxor

Today visit the west bank by coach and see the amazing Valley of the Kings, made famous in 1922 by the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb. Here, visit three tombs before continuing to the Temple of Hatchepsut; one of the most beautiful temples in Egypt. Then depart to see the famous Colossie of Memnon. Later, check-in to the cruise for the following four nights (early check in is subject to availability).

(Tuesday) Luxor - Esna

Visit the worlds' largest temple complex, Karnak Temple to see the Temple of Amun and the Temple of Luxor. After a relaxing lunch on the cruise, set sail towards Esna. The evening is free to enjoy and explore this ancient farming and merchant town.

(Wednesday) Esna - Edfu - Kom Ombo
Set sail for Edfu to visit the Edfu Temple; one of the best preserved temples in Egypt dedicated to the falcon god Horus. Enjoy a relaxing lunch on board and set sail towards Kom ambo. Later, visit the Kom ambo Temple, which is shared by the two Gods, Sobek and Horus.

(Thursday) Kom Ombo - Aswan
Set sail towards Aswan to visit High Dam; the world famous High Dam was an engineering miracle when it was built during the 1960s. Later visit the Temple of Philae; this beautiful complex is dedicated to Isis, the Egyptian goddess of magic and life.

(Friday) Aswan - Cairo
Visit the Nubian Museum situated on a hill, which covers a total area of 50,000 square meters. After lunch on board, sail along the Nile around Kitchener's Island and Mausoleum of Agha Khan by a traditional wooden sailing boat, the 'Felucca'. In the evening, take an overnight sleeper train to Cairo.

(Saturday) Cairo
Enjoy an early morning breakfast on the train before arriving at Cairo railway station. From here, be transferred to the hotel (early check in is subject to availability). The rest of the day is free at leisure. Enjoy a farewell dinner at an Indian restaurant.

(Tuesday) Istanbul City Tour
Depart for a full day guided tour of old Istanbul. Visit the Topkapi Palace, an exquisite palace
of the Ottoman sultans. The palace houses a collection of crystal, silver and Chinese porcelain. Within the Topkapi Palace lies The Holy Mantle; this is said to enshrine relics of the Prophet Mohammed. Visit the stunning Sultanahmet Mosque, better known as the Blue Mosque famed for its blue tiles and unique minarets and the Hippodrome of Constantinople. After an Indian lunch you will be take you to the Grand Bazaar, one of the largest covered markets in the World. In the evening enjoy dinner at an Indian restaurant.

(Wednesday) Istanbul- Izmir - Kusadasi
This morning enjoy a wonderful Istanbul Bosphorus Boat Cruise and Spice Market Tour. Enjoy an array of sights, smell and sounds from the boat such as the Egyptian Spice Bazaar as you cruise along the waterway separating Europe and Asia. After lunch depart for Istanbul Ataturk Airport for your domestic flight to Izmir. Transfer from the airport to your hotel in Kusadasi. Tonight enjoy a traditional Turkish dinner.

(Thursday) Kusadasi - Ephesus
Today embark on a tour of the ancient city of Ephesus, one of the World's best-preserved Roman cities. Here view The Great Theatre, Library of Celsus, stroll through the renowned Marble Street and marvel at the Temple of Artemis, one of the seven ancient wonders of the World. Also see the Temple of Hadrin and a shrine that is believed to be the house of the Virgin Mary. In the evening return to your hotel for a traditional Turkish dinner.

(Friday) Kusadasi - Pamukkale
Drive to Pamukkale and check in to your hotel in the afternoon. After, visit the region's famed calcium rich terraced pools. Known locally as the Cotton Castles, they are a natural phenomena and a gift from Mother Nature. Here, also view the ruins of Hierapolis and marvel at the truly unique landscape of Pamukkale. Later, return to your hotel for you evening meal.

(Saturday) Pamukkale - Antalya
After breakfast, depart to Antalya (driving time is approx. five hours). Upon arrival in Antalya enjoy your all inclusive hotel package including food, alcohol and soft drinks. The rest of the day is yours to discover Antalya. Situated on coastal cliffs, Antalya is surrounded by mountains and is renowned as an international resort destination. Dinnerwill be served at your hotel.

(Sunday) Aspendos - Old Antalya City Tour
After Breakfast drive to Aspendos. Here view one ofthe best-preserved amphitheatres of antiquity in the World. With a diameter of 96 metres the amphitheatre provided seating for 7,000. After, depart foryourtour of ancient Antalya; Kaleici. Here, marvel at the well preserved Roman and Ottoman architecture and enjoy this peaceful little Turkish town. After, return to the hotel to enjoy your all inclusive dinner.

(Monday) Antalya - Istanbul
Relax and enjoy your last day in Turkey and enjoy your all inclusive hotel package. Depart for Antalya Airport for your domestic flight to Istanbul for your return flight home.

(Sunday) Nairobi - Masai Mara (Game Reserves)
Check-out and board a bus for a journey to Masai Mara. The Masai Mara Reserve is Kenya's most precious wildlife sanctuary. This is big game country and long famed as one of Africa's greatest concentrations of game. Later, check
in to Mara Simba Lodge or similar. During the afternoon game drive, you may have the opportunity to see herds of impala, wildebeest, giraffe, elephant, buffalo, ostrich as well as lions, cheetahs, hyenas and possibly the elusive leopards. In the evening enjoy continental dinner at the lodge.

(Monday) Masai Mara
The schedule today includes morning and late afternoon game drives. The Masai Mara is the northern most extremity of the great Serengeti ecosystem. Here dense thorn bushes reveal browsing black rhino, and near the Riverain Woodland, large number of giraffe and elephants are to be seen along with hippos cavorting together in the Mara River. Boasting Kenya's largest predator population, the reserve is renowned for lion prides up to 20 strong. Overnight stay at Mara Simba lodge or similar.

(Tuesday) Masai Mara - Lake Nakuru (Bird Sanctuary)
Check-out and travel through serene farmlands to Lake Nakuru. En route visit the Thompson's Falls. Later, descend into the Great Rift Valley, this is one of the world's most important bird sanctuaries. Lake Nakuru boasts the most spectacular of all of Africa's bird sights­enormous flocks of pastel pink flamingos, as well as other bird species. Our afternoon game drive takes us through the lush green park that surrounds the lake. Many species including reedbuck, bushbuck, warthog, baboon, leopard and the Rothschild giraffe call this home. Overnight stay at Lion Hills Lodge or similar

(Wednesday) Lake Nakuru - Sweetwater's Game Reserves
Drive towards the Sweetwater's Game Reserve. En route stop at the Equator, a chance to take a photo with one foot in the northern and one foot in the southern hemisphere. On arrival have an opportunity to see a variety of unusual species, including the reticulated giraffe, zebra and the oryx. Also visit Jane Goodall's chimpanzee sanctuary. Overnight stay at Sweetwater's Tented Camp or similar

(Thursday) Sweetwater's Tented Camp· Mount Kenya Safari Club
Depart for Mt Kenya Safari Club, one of the most exclusive clubs in the world. Set on the Equator with magnificent views of Mt. Kenya, this luxurious club spreads over 100 acres of manicured lawns, magnificent gardens and ornament ponds which are graced by free roaming peacocks and other exotic birds. For pleasure, optional activities available include horse riding, tennis, golf, putting green, croquet, heated swimming pool, trout fishing, as well as an art gallery, health and beauty parlour, boutique, club shops and the William Holden Animal Orphanage. The Mt Kenya Safari Club is indeed the showpiece of East Africa.

North Tour

Visit the "Pamplemouses" Botanical Garden (entrance fees not included), which has a large collection of indigenous, exotic plants and trees. Proceed to the Capital of Mauritius, "City of Port - Louis". Stop at "Marie Reine de la Paix" where a high up view of the capital can be seen. Drive through the city centre to reach the "Caudan Waterfront", a commercial landmark of shops, restaurants, craft market, casino, etc all overlooking right from the harbour.

 

Ile Aux Cerfs

Proceed to Trou Deau Douce, where you will be taken by a speed boat to Ile Aux Cerfs Island, where you can enjoy lots of watersports on your own (payable directly by pax), for example speed boat / banana boat /  tube / parasailing / drive through the GRSE waterfall in a speed boat, etc or simply enjoy the warm Sand, Sun &  Sea.

South Tour

Proceed to the town Curepipe for a guided shopping at some exclusive shops. Drive to the spectacular crater of "Trou aux Cerf" in town itself. Leave Curepipe to discover the unspoilt beauty of the forest where flows a "Sacred Lake", the "Grand Bassin" (Ganga Talao).  Enjoy the scenery at Black River Gorges on your way to  Chamarel, where the seven colors of earth is found.
